The project is being developed by Eco2 Biomass, which is part of Eco2 Ltd (referred to as Eco2 throughout this site). Eco2 Ltd is a specialist developer of renewable energy plants which has a portfolio of projects involving a variety of renewable energy technologies including wind power, biomass and landfill gas. What is Eco2 Lincs Ltd?
The specific applicant on the planning application is Eco2 Lincs Ltd. This is a special purpose project company that exists solely to hold the contracts, permits and assets of the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant project. This approach produces a readily identified entity for financing purposes.
What is the Developer's relationship with Ely?
The Elean Straw Fired Power Station is owned and operated by Energy Power Resources Ltd (EPRL). Eco2 has no corporate link with EPRL or the Elean Straw-Fired Power Station. However, personnel within Eco2 were instrumental in the development, construction and operation of the Elean plant.
